Answer:

1. A: Hey, how often do you watch films?

B: I try to watch at least one film a week. I usually watch them online or on DVD, but I love going to the cinema too.

A: Yeah, there's something special about the cinema experience. Do you have a favorite way to watch films?

B: I like watching them online because it's convenient, but there's nothing quite like seeing a film on the big screen.

2. A: Do you think some types of films are better to watch at the cinema than on TV?

B: Definitely. Action films and thrillers are much better on the big screen because the sound and special effects are more immersive. Also, comedies are often more enjoyable at the cinema because the laughter is contagious.

A: That makes sense. Are there any examples that come to mind?

B: Yeah, I remember seeing "Inception" at the cinema and the visuals were just out of this world. Also, "Joker" was a really intense experience in the cinema. How about you? Any examples?

A: I agree with you on "Inception" - that was amazing. I also think horror films are better at the cinema because the atmosphere is more intense. I remember watching "Hereditary" at the cinema and feeling really scared.

2. Read and listen to the dialogue. Who do you think is more enthusiastic about seeing the film: Jack or Ellie? Find evidence for your opinion.

Answer:

Ellie is more enthusiastic about seeing the film. She expresses her excitement by saying she has been waiting for ages, has bought the tickets, and mentions the film stars her favorite actor. Jack, on the other hand, seems to have had a difficult time getting to the theater, and he even suggests seeing the film later. This indicates that Ellie is more eager to see the film than Jack.
